Our Purpose

Cultivating Calm, One Experience at a Time

We create sound journeys and yoga experiences to bring greater serenity and peace to our communities. Using the transformative power of sound with live guitar, crystal bowls, bamboo flutes and chimes, with mindful movement, and breath practices, we create spaces where individuals can reconnect with themselves, release stress, and experience profound relaxation. We believe that collective calm begins with personal harmony, and our sound journeys and yoga practices are designed to nurture that balance.

Next special event is Woodford Folk Festival!

We’re honoured to have been selected into the Woodford Folk Festival this year!

Experience flowing yoga inspired by the elements, paired with live sound immersion. Each session blends movement, breath and music — crystal bowls, guitar, Native American flutes, drums,  didgeridoo and melodic looping — to create a dynamic, embodied practice in harmony with nature.

Every month we offer a 2 hour themed workshop with gentle yoga, meditation and a live sound journey.

Weekly Yoga

Weekly yoga classes from Flow, Yin through to Beginners - there is a class style for anyone new or experienced. The Sanctuary has been set up to provide a sacred space to pause, re-set and re-energise.

Collaborations

Bespoke sound and yoga experiences for retreats, events, festivals, conferences, hotels and community programs. Let’s create something transformative together.

What is a Yoga & Sound Session?

A guided gentle yoga practice — flow, Yin, or restorative — combined with live sound immersion using crystal bowls, flutes, didgeridoo, guitar and looping to support deep relaxation and embodied presence.

Who can attend?

Everyone — no prior experience with yoga or sound is needed. Sessions are accessible and adaptable to all levels.

How long is a session?

Monthly workshops are for 2 hours. Thursday evening Sound Room sessions and weekly yoga sessions are one hour.

What are the benefits?

Release tension, restore energy, deepen mindfulness, explore your yoga practice, and connect with the supportive group environment.

Meet the Duo

Solsonica is the collaboration of two passionate artists dedicated to wellness and creativity. Nick Atherton, from Nick Atherton Music, is a master guitarist and sound artist who crafts intricate ambient landscapes. Rachel Tyne, from SOL Yoga Sanctuary, is a yoga teacher, sound facilitator and breathwork guide, leads participants into states of profound relaxation and awareness.
